Why must people do things like this to signs?
Four commas, and not a one of them used correctly. If you’re going to invest in a sign, I highly recommend splurging on a proofreader!
A proofreader, yes… and a designer who will tell you not to use that hideous, overused Papyrus font!
Good catch. Would you feel comfortable offering them a corrected version?
It need not be signed, but kind and direct. They just might change the sign.
Almost as bad as this gem, found on a form sent to us from Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, no less:
“Your employer has filled in this form, keep it in a safe place.”
As Homer said, “English, who needs that? I’m never going to England.” Quite right.
